The Propeller Foundry, Acme Studios, Childers Street, Deptford

Elizabeth’s work discusses the relationship between one space and the next, concentrating on forms, such as the bar, the curve, the stripe. Each painting has a repetitive element and this resonates a particular sound, with the depth and luminosity of colour dictating its sharp or muffled tone. She works in acrylics on several paintings at the same time, building layer upon layer to establish a history within each painting.

"At a certain stage the mark, the line, the bar takes on an identity of its own. It may be simply that it feels right".
