Elizabeth Meadows

Lives in South London and has a studio in Deptford.

The pictures she makes are of an abstract nature; The plasticity of the paint, the colour and the mark, being of prime importance to her.

Working in acrylics on several paintings at the same time, she builds layer upon layer, establishing a history within each painting.

"At a certain stage the mark, the line, the bar takes on an identity of its own. It may be simply that it feels right."
